![]() ![]() They spoke to us in a two-hour interview: Viktor Walschaerts, man with the hard hitting sticks, Jeroen de Pauw, the stylised guitar aggressor, Stef Aertsen, the Dionysian guitar maniac and Laurens Oostrom, the stoic man of the thick strings. ![]() Today you get parts of the interview that will be presented in its entirety in one of our Pankraker magazine issues, maybe in a few months. Earlier there were two demos and as many eps. Sombre Opulence is the first full length in the more than ten year existence of the band. The band members are light on their feet, but dead serious when it comes to the scorching results of their dedicated labour. Which bands have an influence on the band’s varied sound is up to you, but in the second part of the show, the band members themselves highlight several of those influences. The band, a diverse quartet, kicks the balls out of their dark death metal trousers with a nine song album. Or better: we went to visit the four-headed, gurgling monster called Bones a few days after their new record Sombre Opulence was released by the amazing underground label Invictus Productions. Today a special moment, because we have the best death metal band in Belgium visiting us. ![]()
